This is Mebonty's Homepage ... it contains a few things most will find borring, as well as links to other sites and other content on this server. Most of the content will be either computer or geography related. Geographic areas covered are mostly Mono and Inyo Counties of California, neighboring areas of Nevada, and the North Bay. I travel all over the country, but these areas are the most frequented and captured.

I want to make a bunch of pages on a bunch of stuff. It all takes time, and I also need to just get around to it. I want to make a big page on pigeons, including pigeon culture which I love. I have started several, but none are anywhere near finished. I want to make some HOWTO pages, and some guides for plants. I want to make some identification pages for desert plants, and California conifers. These will all be finnished in due time. I also plan on making some image handling code for websites available as soon as I can get it available.

I loved the Mono Basin ever since I set eyes on it, which was on a state map when I was a kid, and really wanted to go there and see that lake. I remember I wanted to see it was because it had a neat shape, and was out of the way. I like to visit it regularly, and study it more and more. I usually take hundreds of pictures each visit. When I have enough time, and get around to it, I put the images online, and add them to a database so they can be queried upon, since once you get to around a thousand pictures, it develops the need for a search and retrieval system. That system is currently only used for the Mono Basin Archives (MBA), but I plan on making it usable eventually for other images.

So basically if you are interested in pigeons, pigeon pictures, nature pictures, mono lake pictures, conifers, UNIX, Linux, sierra nevada, plants, wildlife, birds, raptors, IT, mono county, anti-windows, Big Block Chevy images, suburbans, camo, camoflauge, firearms, diesels, offroading, trucks, electricity, geology, aircraft, and much more, you will like this site, atleast if you can find the info you are looking for. All the stuff on this site is quite scattered, as I add it in to the server so it is online, but then take too long to get around to implementing an interface for it, or ogainze it in a better fashion.

If you are annoyed by ads like I am, you may be interested in blocking them. I started up an Image Blacklist targeted at image advertisement servers. I made this one to use DNS, and it works very nicely, but is limited to domains. It can, however, block all subdomains of a particular domain, which comes in handy for ones such as doubleclick.net which have a lot of subdomains. It also stops those thinking they are cool for using a different subdomain to have a new domain name, as it does not cost anything to do so. This stops those me cools. I highly suggest also installing adblock plugin to fix ads for particular directories on each server. It can be found at adblock.mozdev.org. You should be using Mozilla or Firefox too, and forget about Micro$ofts Internet Exploder. You can save time by importing this list to get you started. New versions allow you to import/export the filters, making it easy.
